Emeritus Professor Dr. Mohammed Musleh Salman, Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Mamoun University, chaired the examination committee for the master’s thesis of Ali Faris Jasim, a student in the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Kufa. The thesis is entitled:

“Studying the Controlling Factors Affecting the Relationship Between the Results of Different Methods to Detect the Velocity of Ultrasonic Pulses Through Concrete”

The study analyzed the factors affecting the velocity of ultrasonic pulses traveling through concrete and compared the different methods used to measure it. It also examined how the method of measuring the pulse path length affects the measured velocity, contributing to improved methods for assessing concrete structures and determining their serviceability.

The defense was held at the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Kufa, before an academic audience of specialists and researchers.

This participation reflects the active scholarly presence of Al-Mamoun University’s faculty members and their contribution to examining and evaluating postgraduate theses and scientific research at Iraqi universities, strengthening academic communication and the exchange of expertise and supporting scientific cooperation among Iraqi colleges and universities.
