On Tuesday, 25 March 2025, Al-Mamoun University held a scientific workshop entitled "Accreditation Standards and Their Role in Improving Academic Rankings". Chaired by Professor Dr. Abdul Khaliq Fawzi Hamoud, Scientific Advisor for Quality Assurance and Performance at Al-Mamoun University, the workshop addressed the aspects of academic accreditation in meeting higher education quality requirements and the methodologies adopted for achieving quality standards. This is to be accomplished through improving global rankings in accordance with officially recognized international standards for university classifications. The academic staff welcomed the approval to transform Al-Mamoun into a university, noting that this transformation represents a considerable step in its journey towards academic excellence and competition with Iraqi and Arab universities.
