The sports team of Al-Mamoun University participated in the Iraqi Universities 3x3 Basketball Tournament, which was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research - Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority - Student Activities Division. Fifty five government and private universities participated in the tournament, which was held during the holy month of Ramadan from March 9 to March 13, 2025 at Ashur University. The university team was represented by a number of students from various departments. The tournament was held under direct supervision by the Iraqi Basketball Federation and direct supervision by the University Deanship and Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority - Student Activities Division.
