Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean, Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Hussein Ismail, in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division, the Continuous Education and Scientific Development Division held a scientific symposium entitled: “Promoting the Principles and Values of Citizenship and Peaceful Coexistence Across All Segments of Society”. The symposium was chaired by: Brigadier General Ali Ajami Rasoul, Colonel Omar Afkar Ibrahim, and Professor Saif Sabri Qasim. It was attended by several Al-Mamoun University College faculty members and students.
During the event, The esteemed Dean emphasized that peaceful coexistence is a profound social value that constitutes an essential part of Islamic doctrine. It is among the foremost measures of individual piety, righteousness, and societal progress. Furthermore, it serves as a pillar of social security and stability and acts as a catalyst for fostering development in both ancient and modern societies. The Dean further underscored the importance of intellectually, logically, scientifically, historically, and jurisprudentially clarifying, framing, and documenting Arab and Muslim relations with others. This approach would establish a robust framework for managing and nurturing coexistence with others.
