Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of Al-Mamoun University College, Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Hussein Ismail, the Continuing Education and Scientific Development Division organized a scientific symposium titled 'Organized Crime and Its Threat to National Security and Stability'. The symposium, chaired by Dr. Raad Taama Kawad and Dr. Shaker Jamil Sajit, shed light on the significant impact of organized crime on both national and international security and stability.

During the symposium, Professor Dr. Ismail emphasized the critical nature of the threat posed by organized crime. He highlighted how it undermines social and economic institutions and represents a global challenge rather than a localized issue. As a result, organized crime has been deemed a prohibited act punishable by criminal law due to its far-reaching dangers and disruptive nature.
