Prof. Abbas Abdul Hussein Kuaish, dean of the College of Fine Arts at Al-Mamoun University, chaired the defense committee for a doctoral dissertation submitted to the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah. The dissertation, by Walaa Raheem Hamza, is titled “Modernist and Globalist Discourse in World Ceramic Sculpture.”

During the defense, the committee discussed the dissertation’s main themes and evaluated its scholarly content. Committee members also offered comments and suggestions to make the research more rigorous and further develop the study.

This participation is part of the academic engagement of Al-Mamoun University faculty members and reflects the University’s efforts to strengthen scholarly collaboration and the exchange of expertise among academic and research institutions.
