In line with the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the recommendations of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, and under the Patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Hussein Ismail, Dean of Al-Mamoon University College, Division of Assurance, Quality and University Performance held a workshop entitled "Modern Trends in Human Resources Development and Training". The scientific workshop was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Muayad Abdul Karim Shaker, and co-managed by Assistant Lecturer Ms. Taghreed Alaa Mohammed Ali. The workshop was attended by the heads of the scientific departments, all department coordinators, and faculty members.

Abdul Karim emphasized the implementation and review of the company's compensation program, the creation and review of job descriptions, conducting annual salary surveys, developing, analyzing and updating the company’s salary budget, developing, analyzing and updating the company’s evaluation program, developing, reviewing and recommending policies and procedures for employee affairs, maintaining and reviewing the company's manual on policies, procedures and performance, managing benefits, maintaining affirmative action programs, overseeing recruitment efforts for all employees, including writing and posting job advertisements, conducting new employee orientations and consultations and employee relations, overseeing exit interviews, maintaining department records and reports, participating in administrative staff meetings, maintaining the company's manual and other organizational charts, and recommending new policies, methods and procedures.

Although HR managers in smaller organizations may be responsible for all of the above-mentioned tasks, these HR specialists in larger organizations may have more specialized duties. According to this, these specialized managers can be referred to as Compensation and Benefits Managers, Training and Development Managers, and the like. As supervisors, HR managers oversee the entire HR department, including managing the performance of HR personnel. Their position enables them to provide recommendations to the organization's leadership based on analyses of employee productivity. HR managers play a crucial role in identifying ways to maximize the value of the organization's employees and ensure that all HR resources are utilized efficiently.

Assistant Lecturer Ms. Taghreed Alaa Mohamed added that the basic goals of human resources management include hiring the right employees for open positions, promoting neutral and legal treatment of all workers, and ensuring the company’s compliance with applicable labor laws. The human resources team identifies the elements of each human resources job and participates in strategic planning to achieve each goal.
