Professor Dr. Abdul
Qader Saleh Marouf, Head of the Department of Digital Media at Al-Mamoon
University College, participated in the (Al-Mustaqbal Media Dialogue Forum the
Third), held at Al-Mustaqbal University in Babylon on Tuesday, February 27,
2024. The forum was held under the slogan (Language in Iraqi Media Discourse in
the Light of Digital Transformations). Dr. Abdul Qader presented a paper at the
forum entitled (The Language and Styles of Advertisements on Social Media:
Medical Advertisements as a Model). In his paper, he discussed the nature,
methods, and forms of advertisements that have recently increased on social
media. He also discussed how many of these advertisements aim to achieve
profits and increase purchases of these products primarily, regardless of
medical supervision, inspection procedures, or quality standards that medical
products should have to avoid any harm that may result from their use by
citizens without consultation or medical examination by a specialist doctor.
